AREA ACTIVITIES

Charles Street South is situated in the South side of Belfast, in a quiet area just off Great Victoria Street. Approximately 200 metres from the city centre, you can easily walk into the centre of Belfast in around 5 minutes and this proximity to Belfast City Centre is one of the big attractions of this property.

Parking is free outside when available but please note this is a busy city centre location. There is pay and display parking in a nearby street and a huge multi-storey car park nearby but it should be noted that there are restrictions on the main roads in the area, please check the signs before leaving your car unattended. Great Victoria Street is a very busy area for local people going about their day to day routine and also a popular area with tourists. There are many shops including a supermarket selling alcohol, foodstuffs, hot coffee and snacks, it is open from 07:00 to 22:00. There are bars (including the world-famous Crown Bar and excellent restaurants also within a few minutes walk.

Opposite the Crown Bar is the Grand Opera House, well known for plays and musicals – check their website.The SSE arena (Odyssey) is a short taxi ride away in the Titanic area. The SSE is famous for Ice Hockey, concerts, clubs, bars, restaurants, etc. Titanic Belfast has recently been named Europe’s number 1 tourist attraction and should be at the top of every visitor’s must-see agenda.

The Europa bus station (beside the Europa Hotel) has direct links to both airports -The George Best City Airport and Belfast international Airport and it is a 2 minute walk from the property. The bus station also services the main towns of Northern Ireland and of course Dublin in the Irish Republic. There are 2 main railway stations, firstly the Great Victoria Street station and also a Belfast Central station where you can catch the famous ‘enterprise’ service to Dublin.
